During my years in East Africa (Great Rift Valley) I made many trips to remote areas where traditional nomadic tribes live. I instantly became fascinated by their proud, colourful, beautiful looks. I decided to photograph them, mostly their faces, in order to eternalise them before they and their way of life would disappear. This resulted in a series of portraits of African tribesmen, women and children - Pokot, Maasai, Samburu, Turkana.
